Meet Cheryl

A woman with glasses smiling next to a fluffy brown dog with curly fur, both close together indoors.

I am a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with over two decades of experience supporting families and caregivers to navigate the complexities of child development. I am fueled by a passion for empowering parents and providing strategies and tools to use in day-to-day routines. I feel a strong connection with autistics as I feel they are often misunderstood.

By offering group sessions to parents, my hope is to

  • Reduce feelings of isolation - you are not alone in your parenting journey

  • Build connections and confidence - there are strategies you can try today that work

  • Share ideas and information - no one has all the answers

I believe building relationships with people is the most important part of therapy. Building trust in each other is essential for change to happen.

I appreciate direct, yet kind communication.

After graduating from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. OT in 1998, I focused on pediatrics. I lived in the Okanagan BC, for 10 years before settling in my hometown of Calgary, AB. I have a supportive husband, two energetic teenage boys, and a sweet dog to keep me busy. I enjoy walking, watching my boys play sports, playing pickleball, photography, and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Cheryl is passionate about paying it forward — helping early-career OTs grow faster and more confidently by offering mentorship she wishes she had even more of.
